2019 Sharks Coaching Staff
My name is Garrett Mott and this is my fourth year to be a Sharks swim coach. I will be a senior at the University of Texas at Austin double majoring in Physics and Math with a UTeach minor. I hope to become a high school physics or math teacher when I graduate. I swam on the Westwood Varsity Swim Team for 4 years and was captain my senior year. I was a regional qualifier for 2 years in the 200 freestyle and the 200 freestyle relay. I also played for the Westwood Water Polo Team for 2 years. Additionally, I swam with Nitro for 8 years. I've spent every summer since I was 7 swimming with the Sharks and I am very excited to be back as head coach. My goal is to make sure that these younger swimmers have as great of Shark memories as I do!

Hello all shark fans! My name is Marley Kotick and this is my fourth year as a sharks coach! I will be a senior at the University of Texas graduating with my degree in EC-6th Education and specializing in literacy. I swam for Westwood's Varsity Swim Team for four years, and was a regional qualifier for two of those years. I also swam for Waterloo (back in the day when we conquered the spicewood pool) and did my training there for four years with Mike Varozza. I've been with the sharks since I was 8 years old, and I'm stoked to be back for another season, because summer without Sharks would just not be summer. I'm so excited to have a splashin' time this season and see some smiles and time drops!

My name is Jacob Stubbs and I will be returning for my second season as a Sharks coach. I will be a sophomore at Trinity University this fall, where I am a member of the swim team and hoping to major in International Business and Business Analytics. I was a 4 year regional qualifier while swimming for Westwood High School in various events such as the 500 free, 100 breast, 200 IM, and 200 free. I also had the honor of being a captain my senior year. I was a member of the sharks for 4 seasons as a kid and I hope to bring the enjoyment I had as a Shark to all the current Sharks. I really enjoyed my first season and am super excited to be back! I look forward to helping the swimmers grow and improve and have a blast doing it!

My name is Steven Kuhn and this is my first year as a Sharks coach! Next year I will be a freshman in college and am planning on attending Emory University to study physics and swim on their swim team. For the past four years, I have attended Hill Country Christian School of Austin and was on their varsity swim team. At Hill Country, I was a three time state champion in the 200 freestyle and one time state champion in the 500 freestyle. I also swim for Waterloo Swimming and have been doing club swimming for nine years. My favorite stroke is breaststroke and I am a Junior Nationals qualifier in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Two years ago, I swam on the Sharks swim team and fell in love with the community. This year, I am stoked to be a coach and become more involved with the amazing sharks family. I can't wait to have a blast this season!
