Annie Parodi grew up swimming in Warwick Valley New York. She competed through age group & high school swimming. At Mount Saint Mary College, Annie was not only the MVP and Team Captain, but she broke nine team swimming records. Since graduating with a degree in Biology from SUNY – Buffalo, she has been swim coaching and a personal trainer. Annie is currently coaching at Waterloo Swimming where she is the Head Group Coach of the Silver 1, Bronze and Pre-Bronze groups. Prior to that she coached at Cedar Park Swimming where she was the Head Coach of the Silver and Bronze groups and assisted with the Gold and Senior groups. Before moving to Texas, she worked for the Cheektowaga Stingrays where she was the Head Age Group Coach for the 12 & Under program in charge of program development/growth, on deck coaching and swimmer development. During her tenure there, the Stingrays expanded Age Group and learn to swim programs. They have also advanced more swimmers than ever before to LSC championships and Zone meets.
Hey! My name is Jessie Shaw and I was born in Dallas, raised in Austin. I swam competitively from ages 10-17 years old. I then became a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) where I lead a satellite program for a local Austin swim school. Eventually I moved into a USA Swimming coaching position, where I was head coach for over 250 athletes ages 5-9y/o. I was also assistant coach for TAGS and Sectional level athletes. I had the privilege of training under nationally renowned coaches. In addition to coaching I have taken administrative roles; including a lead role in developing programs for team growth, team communications, & social media management.
Before coaching I was a professional photographer so you can often find me with a camera in hand. In addition to that, I enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches, being outdoors, and spending time with family & friends.
See you on deck!
Hello, my name is Anthony Bellino. I have been a member of the Sharks swim team for over thirteen years and this will be my second year coaching the kids. I swam on a club team the past five years, along with my high school team for three. I was a member of the Texas Longhorn Aquatics National Team and a regional qualifier in high school swimming. I believe that technique and strength are the two most important parts of swimming and I cannot wait to train kids how to swim fast while also having a fun time. Go Sharks!
My name is Madison Mischnick and I will be a junior at the University of Texas in the fall, majoring in Elementary Education. I’m proud to say I started swimming for the Sharks when I was seven years old and continued my swimming career through high school. I swam on the Westwood High School Varsity swim team where I represented the Warriors at state in the 200 medley relay, 100 Breaststroke and 200 IM. I was also a member of the National Team at Nitro swimming. I am so excited to be back coaching for the sharks and am looking forward to a fantastic season!
My name is Marley Kotick, and I have been a Shark since I was 8 years old. My swimming career started with the Sharks and continued to Westwood's Varsity Swim and Dive team where I was a Regional Qualifier for the past two years. I will also be instructing this summer at Waterloo Swim School for my fourth year. I love teaching kids to swim while having fun. I'm super excited to be coming back to the Sharks as a coach this year and I'm looking forward to a great season!
My name is Garrett Mott and I will be a freshman at the University of Texas in the fall, majoring in physics. I hope to become a high school physics teacher when I graduate. I swam on the Westwood Varsity Swim Team for 4 years and was captain my senior year. I was a regional qualifier for 2 years in the 200 freestyle and the 200 freestyle relay. I also played for the Westwood Water Polo Team for 2 years. Additionally, I have swum with Nitro for the past 8 years. I've spent every summer since I was 7 swimming with the Sharks and I am so excited to be back as a coach. I want to make sure that these younger swimmers have as great Shark memories as I do!
My name is Mayna Nguyen and I will be a sophomore at the University of Texas this coming fall, currently majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I swam at Lost Creek Aquatics and on the Westwood Varsity Swim Team. I was a Regional Finalist in the 100 breaststroke, and I also made the Sectionals cut in that event. Last year, I coached another summer league team in the Austin area and this year will be my second year as a swim instructor at Waterloo Swimming. I’m so excited to be a Sharks coach and I can’t wait to share my love of swimming with everyone!
