BCC Sharks will use Twitter to alert you about changes to practices, meets and other events. If you set up your mobile phone to accept bccsharks tweets via text messaging, you will always be one of the first to know!

To receive our alerts be sure to:

Follow us on Twitter (you can do this even if you don't already have a Twitter account)
Turn on notifications to receive our Tweets on your phone via text message (SMS)

Already have a Twitter account?

If you already have a Twitter account set up to work with your mobile phone, then all you need to do to start following us is text ‘follow bccsharks’ to 40404.

Once you are following us on Twitter, we suggest you turn on notifications to receive Tweets from bccsharks on your phone via text message (SMS):

Via the web:

Visit your Settings page.
Click the Mobile tab.
Look for the area labelled Text message notifications.
Check the box for Tweets from people you've enabled for mobile notifications to receive text message notifications any time a specific person Tweets.
Visit our Profile page or click on our username (bccsharks).
Click the profile icon and select Turn on SMS Tweets from the drop-down menu. (From the same drop-down you can select Turn off SMS Tweets if you no longer wish to receive text message updates from bccsharks.

You might also have a Twitter application on your smartphone that you can access. If this is the case, follow instructions to follow us through that application.

Not a Twitter User?

If you are not currently a Twitter user, you have two options:

It is free and easy to set up a basic Twitter account. Visit Twitter to get started with Twitter and begin following bccsharks. Be sure to turn on notifications to receive Tweets from bccsharks on your phone via text message as explained above.
If you want to get updates from bccsharks but don’t want to create a Twitter account, you can use Fast Follow to receive our Twitter updates via text message, without having to sign up for or add your phone to a Twitter account:
