REMINDER ABOUT MEET ATTENDANCE
If we do not hear from you that your swimmer will be absent by noon on the Tuesday before the meet, your swimmer(s) will be entered into the meet.
Please continue to send the Report Meet Absence email from the website even if you miss the deadline. We had several No Shows this past Saturday that had not informed us they would not be at the meet. No Shows are very disruptive and inconvenient for meet officials and other families that do attend the meet. If you are present at the meet and have any number of swimmers that are unexpectedly absent (illness, injury, etc) please walk over to the age group tent parent and let them know the situation. If your family has an unexpected absence or delay the morning of the meet, please call 970-5912 and inform the meet director. Please be considerate and thanks in advance for your cooperation.

| No Swim Meet Drop Offs |
Parents, swim meets are absolutely not drop off events for swimmers under the age of 15. Every swimmer under the age of 15 must have a parent, legal guardian, or otherwise authorized adult identified and present during the meet.
Our tent team parents are only responsible for getting their swimmers to the ready bench for events. We assume that children missing from the tent are in the custody or are being monitored by a responsible adult. The team parent cannot leave the tent to look for your child. If for some reason you are not present at the meet, you must notify your swimmer's tent team chairperson and provide the name of the adult willing to assume responsibility. The other adult will need to confirm acceptance either through e-mail in advance or in person at the meet. A sibling may be designated as long as the sibling is at least 18 years old. The name of each age group team parent chairperson can be found on the website and also on the weekly volunteer schedule posted to the website.
For swimmers age 15 and up, you must notify your tent team parent that you are un-chaperoned otherwise we will assume you also have a parent or legal guardian present at the meet. Of course, we highly encourage all parents to attend the swim meets and cheer for your swimmers. This policy in place for the safety of the swimmers and to limit the liability assumed by non-custodial adults. Thanks for your cooperation. |

| Eligibility for Divisional and Invitational Meets |
Just a reminder - your swimmer must swim in at least 2 of the 6 dual meets between May 26 and June 30 or he or she will not be entered into the Divisional or Invitational Meets per the Northwest Swim Circuit By-laws. Note that a qualifying time is also required to enter an event at the Invitiational Meet. In addition, our coaches are only allowed to enter a swimmer into events that he or she has a legal time. |
| Swim Lessons |
| The BCC Sharks coaching staff provides private swim lessons for a reasonable fee to any Shark swimmers that are interested in getting extra help outside of the regular team practice times. The BCC Sharks Swim Team is not involved in managing nor receives any proceeds from the swim lesson program. As a benefit to our coaching staff, Balcones Country Club does allow their pools to be used for the private swim lessons. Any arrangements for private swim lessons is strictly between the coaching staff and families. Any questions, concerns or comments should be sent directly to Grant Kessler at grant@bccsharks.org, the swim lesson coordinator for 2007. |
| Individual and Team Photo Day |
| There will be no swim practice on Wednesday, June 6, to allow for individual and team photos to be taken at the Balcones pool. Your registration fee includes a team and individual photo; however, an order form must be filled out for every swimmer in order to process the overall order. If you desire to purchase an additional picture package, please indicate which package you wish to purchase and include a check made payable to Photo Texas with the order form. | |
We are looking forward to our next meet and will see you in Cedar Park on Saturday!
Sincerely,
BCC Sharks Board Balcones Country Club Sharks Swim Team
