Special Considerations
- Your child needs to check in with the team parent at the time specified in the meet timeline and be prepared to start warm ups. Warm ups are an essential component in preparing for the swim meet. Swimmers who have not checked with a Team Parent at the appropriate time risks being scratched from the meet.
- Your child is to stay in their age group tent during the meet or let the team parent know where they are going. Team parents are not responsible for finding your child to go to the ready bench to swim.
- Do not leave the meet (unless you are a 6 and under at half time) without telling a coach! Your child may be entered in a relay at the end of the meet and it may not be in the heat sheet. Ask your team parent before you leave if your swimmer is swimming any more events.
- Please make sure your child takes home anything brought to the meet. This includes all of their belongings and any trash they make. We need to be courteous guests and clean up after ourselves. It it not the team parents responsibility to clean up after the kids.

Shark Shack
For those who did not pick up your NWSC Divisional T-shirts at the Round Rock meet, stop by the Shark Shack to pick at the Divisional Meet.
The Shark Shack will have swim caps, goggles, and a few fun items for sale at the meet. Check out our newest shark toys! We still have a few 2006 t-shirts for sale. We also have a small number of t-shirts from years past that are half price!
If you lose something during the meet, check at the Shark Shack – people usually bring lost and find items to us while the meet is going on – don’t forget to label everything.

Parent's Corner
Volunteer Badge Turn In: Please return all Shark volunteer badges at the end of shifts on Saturday. Volunteers do not need the badges for invitationals. Anyone else with a badge at home needs to return it then as well. If you forget, please bring to the banquet.
Make Up for Individual Photos: If your swimmer missed the Photo Day by Photo Texas on June 7, you are in luck! Call Photo Texas to schedule a make up session for the individual photo. This is only for swimmers that missed (no retakes). 419-9669.
Hypertropic Cardiomyopathy screening: The Austin Heart Foundation offers screening for this defect periodically and one is coming up on July 29th. They only screen kids between the ages of 15-18 because the adolescent heart isn't done growing until the age of 15. The screening is free but they do ask for a $15.00 donation to help with costs. There is some paperwork you can download from their web site and complete before you go so the process goes more smoothly: www.austinheartfoundation.com/ne.html.
Lost and Found: An assortment of Shark items have been left after our meets. The Lost and Found is located at the Spicewood Pool so please be sure and check it for lost swimmer items!
Swimmer Name on Caps: Please put your swimmer's names (first name plus last initial) on each side of their swim caps with a permanent marker. This will assist the coahes in learning the swimmer's names and will assist our team photographers (Jeff and Debbie Dean) in getting the names right for photo captions.
Swimmer Ribbons: As a reminder, swimmer ribbons are not handed out at the meet. The ribbons will be available in the ribbon boxes at the pools this Friday, as well as the banquet on Monday. Be sure to clear out your swimmer's folders. For anyone who misses the banquet, all trophies and awards can be picked up by making arrangements through scoretable@bccsharks.org.

Weekly Snack Schedule
It's SNACK time!!
Friday morning snacks are a Shark tradition! All of our sharks, coaches included, enjoy snacks following Friday morning practices.
Parents are asked to take turns providing these small snacks (cookies, brownies, popsicles, donuts, etc.) for each swimmer in their child's age group. Please e-mail Joyce Marshall at hospitality@bccsharks.org to volunteer for one day of snack duty. This is a great opportunity to use the Krispy Creme Card you bought through the Sharks fundraiser - 2 dozen doughnuts for the price of 1!
